a hiatus

Who has time for blogging? I don't seem to make time for it anymore. It kind of goes to show how "busy" I really was when I was working because my blog posts have significantly fallen since I started staying home with the kids! I still want to use this space to share photos and write down things that I don't want to forget.

Like the way Noelle stops whatever she's doing and runs to the kitchen yelling, "Dinner's ready!" every time she hears the timer go off. It doesn't matter if no one is making any food. If she hears the timer, she thinks dinner is ready.

We went to a playgroup at the Lutheran church today. The stars kind of aligned for us to end up there. I'm starting a Girl Scout troop and we needed a place to meet. I forgot to turn in our building usage form last week. We managed to still be able to use the building this past Sunday because of my "connections" in town. My neighbor's grandparents just happen to be the custodians there so they were able to let us in. I still needed to get the form turned in though and dropped it off this morning after we dropped Isabelle off at school. The secretary told us of the playgroup while we were there so we went back at 9:30 and I found out about another playgroup on Monday's just a couple blocks from home.

I was just thinking the other day that we've met so many more people in the last 2 months than I think we have in the last 6.5 years of living here. I suppose a child in school really changes things!

With a personal invitation to worship on Sunday from the pastor, I think we'll be headed to church again and maybe try to meet even more people! It's really starting to feel like HOME here.

A few pictures before I get back to folding laundry.

A failed self-timer shot. Also, my head looks like a mushroom.

Always wearing leos in this house!

  1. I know how that goes, Jess! I write for my blog in spare moments here and there and then I ask for one hour on the weekend to get posts ready and lined up to be posted during the week. Doesn't always work, though - and with three kids, I just can't imagine!

Love the pictures! Your girls are stunning. You're going to have to be sweeping the boys off your porch with a broom in ten years! ;)

  2. Yeah! I'm glad you found a few minutes to jot stuff down. I check here everyday even though we have other ways to stay in contact. I just come here to see what I've missed somewhere else. The kids are adorable and lucky that you spend so much quality time with them.
I look for picture updates on Shutterfly too. I know you're pulled in a million different directions every day. So glad that you can keep the blog as well (even if it isn't as often as you would like it to be).
I agree with the other comment....you're going to have your hands full in a few years when the boys start calling.
